Sport Activities Acknowledgements
The Crandon Golf Team will advance to sectional competition as a result of placing second at the Niagara Regional. Crandon shot a 375 and was led by Brady Weber’s 84. Sam Belland shot 89, Jalyn Labine – 98, and Thomas VanZile – 105. Good job team. Sectional competition will be on Tuesday, May 28th at Foxfire Golf Course in Waupaca

Congratulations, to Ben Kalata, placing second at the Youth wrestling tournament, in Merrill, on Saturday. This tournament was a regional tournament and now Ben has qualified for State competition in Madison on March 22-23.
Congratulations to Carter Shampo and Hayden Krueger for placing 3rd at the State Wrestling Championship. Both wrestlers went 4-1 for the weekend.
Kory Kincaid has been nominated as Newswatch 12 “Player of the Week”
Kory scored his “1000th” point on February 11th, Crandon vs. Elcho game
To the Boys basketball team for winning the NLC Basketball title by going 14-0 in conference play.
JV team finished the season a 13-1 conference record.
The Crandon wrestling team traveled to Wabeno, for the Logroller Invitational and made history. After competing against 16 other teams, the team came back to Crandon with the first place trophy. This was the first time that a Crandon Wrestling team has won an Invitational tournament in 40 years of Crandon wrestling. The wrestlers who competed on Saturday were Mike Huml, Andrew Lehman, Deven Roff, Charlie Wilson, 5th place winners were Grant Hoyt, Isaiah Doane, 3rd place winners were Kolin Champine, Morgan Krueger, John Dennee, Jared Roberts, 2nd place winners were Chase Tupper, Grant Murray and 1st place champions were Carter Shampo and Hayden Krueger. This is the first wresting team to win Regionals in 40 years.

Congratulations to Hayden Krueger from his teammates and coaches on being named a Channel 7 All Star Running Back. Hayden led the state in rushing with 2006 yards, averaging over 250 yards per game and nearly 10 yards per rushing attempt. We are all very proud of your outstanding achievements.
